AC Motors
FAAC’s early automation solutions were powered by alternating current (230V AC) motors, a technology that continues to be widely used today. These motors operate by creating a rotating magnetic field within the stator, which drives the rotor and gate movement.
For single-phase installations, a capacitor assists with start-up, while integrated thermal protection automatically shuts the motor down in the event of overload. This built-in safety helps protect both the electric sliding gate and the motor itself.

DC Motors
